Recreation

Woodstock is bordered to the west by Lake Allatoona, a large lake managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. Nearby you can canoe, kayak, fish, swim, and tube down one of the area rivers. The city maintains several parks, hiking trails, and mountain bike trails. Woodstock is just south of the Appalachian foothills and there are many scenic mountain hikes just a short distance from town. For the less outdoorsy, there are many well-maintained city parks and sports areas as well as a year-round indoor aquatic center! Woodstock truly offers something for everyone.
